About the artist:

Lyubov Gurovich was born in Leningrad (USSR). In 1981 she graduated from an art college in Leningrad. In 1993 she repatriated to Israel and currently lives in Bat Yam. She is a member of the Israeli Professional Artists’ Association. Her works are held in private collections in Israel, Russia, Germany, France, and the United States.

The core of Lyubov Gurovich’s practice is painting at the boundary between abstraction and imagery, where color and materiality become an independent language of emotional perception. Her individuality lies in a constant movement between the recognizable and the unknown: an image emerges from abstract matter, almost becomes legible, and then slips away again. Key qualities of her work include subtle color relationships, layered texture, an internal architecture of composition, and openness to the viewer’s perception. Her abstraction remains connected to life, retaining a memory of the visible world while transforming it into rhythm, color, space, and material.
