How to buy an artwork
Choosing a work
Use the artwork search to filter the catalogue and find suitable works. Our recommended artists list highlights artists for whom we have enough information about demand and reliability; it does not imply that other artists are less reliable.
Placing an order
- Open the work you would like to buy.
- Available works have a “Buy” link. If an original is unavailable but the artist accepts commissions, you may be able to order an artist’s copy.
- Complete the order form with your name, city, phone number, email address, and any relevant details.
- We email you a confirmation link. The artist does not receive your details automatically when the form is submitted.
- After you confirm, the ArtOnline team reviews the order, contacts the artist or representative, and passes on the necessary order and contact information.
- The artist or representative then contacts you to agree on payment and delivery.
Delivery and payment
The listed price excludes delivery, packaging, insurance, and any documents required for international export. The buyer and seller agree on these costs and arrangements individually. Payment terms are also agreed directly between them.
Additional information
The works remain with their artists or representatives. Distance can therefore substantially affect the total delivery cost. Creating an artist’s copy may take from several days to several weeks.
